Conor McGregor… King Of Endorsements

MMA icon Conor McGregor has added to his lengthy list of well-known endorsements with the addition of fast food chain Burger King.

The lucrative deal with Burger King which sees McGregor take a light-hearted approach to the endorsement sits alongside Beats by Dre, Monster energy drink and Reebok, all of whom McGregor has previously promoted.

Announcing the deal on his social media channels, McGregor commented: “I am very interested to see how the list of best paid finishes at the end of 2018. Now I have surpassed Cristiano as I had warned in 2016. Mixed Martial Arts is a glorious game.”

Re-igniting a fierce rivalry, Max Holloway, who lost to McGregor in 2013 but remains one of two fighters to ever take the Irishman the distance, said on Twitter: “You went from King of Ireland to King of Chicken?” Fans took to social media to discuss McGregor’s potential return to the sport, and the likelihood of the 29-year-old facing featherweight champion Holloway in the future.

Having taken a break from MMA to become a father and then fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, McGregor has not fought since November 2016, and fans continue to eagerly await his return.
