Ranieri Returns To The Premier League

Claudio Ranieri is set to return to the Premier League, having established himself as a capable leader throughout his career.

While Ranieri may be best known for taking Leicester City to become Premier League Champions for the first time in the 2015/16 season, he is no stranger to the Premier League.

The Italian managed Chelsea for three years, leading them into the Champions League in the 2003/04 season. But his high-profile roles don’t end there, with spells at clubs including Valencia, Juventus, Roma and Inter Milan.

Heading to Craven Cottage, Ranieri’s next project will be saving a struggling Fulham, currently sitting bottom of the Premier League table with only five points in 12 games. To add to the drama, he will face both Chelsea and Leicester in the lead-up to Christmas, going up against many familiar players.

Having conceded 31 goals in 12 games, Ranieri is ready to shake things up at Fulham, explaining: “This season I cannot believe what happened. It is a very good quality team. As an Italian manager, for us, the defensive way is best for the team. It is important to have a strong vision of the defence. Not just the full-backs or goalkeeper, all the team. The fighting spirit is very important.”

Calling on the support of the fans, Ranieri added: “I hope our fans push us and we need their strength. We need their support always. We never give up.”

It’s certainly an exciting time ahead for Fulham… stay tuned!
