The Client

Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) is a private university established with the purpose of providing internationally recognised under-graduate and graduate degree programmes in various fields, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications and Computer Engineering.

KCST is located at a prominent location in Doha, west of Kuwait City amidst educational and recreational attractions. KCST takes pride in excellence in teaching, learning, research and developing leaders in various disciplines, while keeping pace with the rapid scientific and technological advancement of the modern world.

The Challenge

KCST’s Marketing Director stated that the main objective was to increase brand awareness across the Middle East and North Africa and to enhance their social media interactions and output on their accounts.

La Liga attracts fans from all over the world, with a global cumulative audience of over two billion. We proposed to KCST that advertising in La Liga would be the perfect platform to reach their target market and with that, they elected to kick-off their first sports marketing campaign with us.

Actions

Through the La Liga MENA DBR advertising feed we were able to place their brand on the perimeter boards during the 2017-18 season, in Real Madrid and FC Barcelona away matches watched in MENA.

The perimeter board design utilised KCST’s colours with a clean, white backdrop allowing for the dark blue typeface to be clearly visible. The primary animation used was a slow left to right crawl, with the logo present throughout the digital display, therefore guaranteeing maximum brand exposure.

The Result

We successfully helped KCST to achieve their objectives and further enhance their brand’s image, worth and customer base throughout their target markets. KCST have seen a rise in applications for the college and their popularity continues to grow.

Our campaign enabled them to become associated with the excitement, prestige and passion of the most followed football clubs in the world, reaching millions on a regular basis. The campaign was such a success that KCST renewed their advertising with us for another La Liga season.
