Tinder And Man City Create Sky-Blue Partnership

Manchester City announced the signing of a multi-year partnership with dating app, Tinder.

Taking to the skies, a blimp was released over Manchester, boldly introducing the #PerfectMatch hashtag which will prove a pivotal part of the promotion.

This announcement took place ahead of the weekend’s clash between rivals Manchester City and Manchester United, sparking conversation ahead of the derby which had the chance to decide City’s Premier League title.

The deal also covered City’s women’s team as well as sister side New York City FC, while Tinder took part in numerous branding activations to make the most of their advertising with Manchester City.

Fully aware of the benefits of advertising to the highly engaged football audience, this is not the first time the app has teamed up with a sky-blue side. Tinder previously signed a partnership with Italian giants Napoli, enabling fans to swipe right on striker Arkadiusz Milik as he returned back from injury.

City Football Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tom Glick, said: “Tinder is a huge global platform which, just like football, is bringing millions of people together every day all around the world. Football is all about a community of fans, sharing moments, emotions and passion for the sport they love. Together with Tinder, we have a great opportunity to explore how we can combine Tinder’s significant appeal and reach with our global audience to create even more relationships in a new, fun and creative way. We believe this will be a perfect match for Tinder and City.”
